Four areas of fact
When a workflow starts
The desktop app captures voice and starts a workflow only when you explicitly trigger dictation, translation, rewrite, or ask.
What each workflow processes
The exact scope depends on the workflow and settings; not every workflow processes the same data.
What stays on the device
History, dictionary entries, personalization settings, Insights data, and retained audio are primarily stored in account-separated storage on the device. In the current version, not every local JSON file, database, audio file, or diagnostic export is encrypted at rest.
What is still being completed
The Windows client foundation is in place. Public availability follows signed installation, permission, and cross-app writeback validation.
